The Patricia Roberts Harris National Fair Housing Training Academy is the premier learning and research center for educating professionals about fair housing and civil rights issues. We provide instructor led courses and online learning tools.
NFHTA welcomes Fair Housing Assistance Program (FHAP) and private fair housing organization Directors and managers, investigators, intake staff, conciliators and mediators, attorneys, educators, and trainers, Commission and Board Members, and other fair housing professionals.
Our courses are open to the public. *Agencies funded under the Fair Housing Assistance Program (FHAP) are not required to pay tuition but are responsible for all expenses associated with travel and lodging.
Notice: Sequestration Impact on NFHTA Schedule
This notice addresses HUD employees only.
Due to sequestration, as part of the Budget Control Act of 2011, HUD employees are subject to 7 furlough days in Fiscal Year 2013. In this instance, HUD employees should not register for any National Fair Housing Training Academy (NFHTA) courses that include HUD scheduled furlough days.
The NFHTA courses listed below include proposed HUD furlough dates:
Week Four Investigation Training - May 20 -24, 2013
Conciliation for Fair Housing Investigators – June 12 – 14, 2013
Week Three Investigation Training – July 22 – 26, 2013
All NFHTA 2013 courses will continue as scheduled.
