Prerequisites for Courses

To enroll in some NFHTA courses, participants must meet certain prerequisites. Participants are responsible for meeting the required prerequisites or having the appropriate experience. Course prerequisites are stated in the course description. NFHTA's Week One through Week Five Investigation Courses are designed to be completed in sequential order and participants are strongly encouraged to complete them in sequential order.  

Eligibility and Requirements for FHAP Participants

To enroll in NFHTA courses, a student's agency must be participating in the Fair Housing Assistance Program (FHAP). To confirm your agency’s status, check the current FHAP list here.  When a FHAP student registers for a NFHTA course, enrollment will be approved upon receipt of payment and an e-mail confirmation will be sent to the the student.  All FHAP students must have supervisor approval prior to registering for a course.

Requirements for HUD Employees

Prior to registering for a NFHTA course, HUD employees must have an approved HUD 10.4 training form for the desired course. The registration process requires the participant's HUD 10.4 number, which is located in the upper right hand corner of the HUD 10.4 form in Box 3 Control No.  Upon completing registration, participants may scan and e-mail their approved HUD 10.4 form to support@nfhta.org or fax it to NFHTA at (202) 314-3556.
